Driveworks SDK at NVIDIA

Since March 2020 I work on autonomous driving software at NVIDIA in Zurich. We create an API for OEMs, that facilitates the integration of NVIDIA specific hardware – leveraging the extreme performance benefits of accelerated computing.

I’m part of the Egomotion Team in Zurich, Switzerland. Our goal is to estimate the vehicles own motion over time. This information is then  used by downstream modules like Calibration, Localization or Controls. My main project is focused on fusing information from multiple radar sensors.

Here you can see can see my recent work! It is our new surround radar egomotion estimation module. On the top right, you can see doppler graphs – one for each radar. The doppler graphs show azimuth angle on the x-axis, and radial velocity on the y-axis. We optimize the vehicle velocity and yaw rate to fit the velocity measurements of the radars best. On the bottom right you can see the resulting estimates. Video credit to NVIDIA, full video can be found here.
